Sesame Communications ranks on national and local business journal lists

by Dental Tribune America

SEATTLE, Wash., USA: Sesame Communications, a provider of online patient communication and engagement tools for dentistry, has ranked No. 1,619 on the 2012 Inc. Magazine 500|5000 list. This list represents the most comprehensive look at the most important segment of the economy — America’s independent entrepreneurs. Sesame Communications joins Yelp, Giftcards.com, KIND, and yogurt maker Chobani, among other prominent brands featured on this year’s list.

“Sesame has achieved substantial year-over-year growth, proving to be the category leader in patient communication and engagement solutions,” said Diana P. Friedman, CEO of Sesame Communications. “Even in this difficult economic environment, Sesame has maintained its exceptional service offering while posting record sales growth. As an Inc. 5000 honoree we are thrilled to now share a pedigree with Intuit, Microsoft, Oracle, Pandora, Vizio and other notable alumni.”

Sesame is a technology leader of online patient communications for the dental industry and features Sesame 24-7, a solution suite of innovative tools to help dental practices to grow, acquire and retain patients, and optimize their practice performance.

In a stagnant economic environment, median growth rate of 2012 Inc. 500|5000 companies remains an impressive 97 percent. The companies on this year’s list report having created over 400,000 jobs in the past three years, and aggregate revenue among the honorees reached $299 billion.

“Now, more than ever, we depend on Inc. 500/5000 companies to spur innovation, provide jobs, and drive the economy forward. Growth companies, not large corporations, are where the action is,” said Inc. Editor Eric Schurenberg.

Sesame is also ranked by Puget Sound Business Journal

Sesame Communications has ranked number 46 on the Puget Sound Business Journal 100 Fastest-Growing Private Companies list. The 100 companies that made the list, and their rankings, were announced at an invitation-only event hosted at the Washington State Convention Center on Thursday, Oct. 11.

The Fastest-Growing Private Companies program was launched 17 years ago by the Puget Sound Business Journal to identify and recognize companies speeding to the top of their industries. To be eligible, companies must: be privately held and headquartered in Washington; have at least $500,000 in net revenue in 2009; show an overall growth from 2009 to 2011 calendar years; and agree to submit their net operating revenues with Puget Sound Business Journal.

“The companies that make this list are, by definition, among the most dynamic in our region,” said Business Journal Publisher Gordon Prouty. “Especially this year, making membership on this elite list is all the more impressive, and these companies are showing all of us what qualities it takes to grow in challenging times.”

“We are delighted to make the list for the third time since 2009,” Friedman said. “This award identifies and recognizes leading growth companies at the top of their industries. We are honored to be a part of such an elite group.”

The 100 Fastest-Growing Private Companies program is presented by the Puget Sound Business Journal and sponsored by CliftonLarsonAllen; Wells Fargo; Comcast Business Class; Regence; Robert Half; Sound Mental Health; and Stoel Rives.
