EMS is on the cutting edge of technology

NYON, Switzerland: Swiss dental and medical manufacturer Electro Medical Systems (EMS) believes in high standards. The company, headquartered in Nyon near Lake Geneva, says it continually seeks to advance quality. According to the manufacturer, the best EMS device works only as good as its smallest component. For many applications this is the EMS Original Swiss Instrument. Currently, the most versatile tip is the PS Perio Slim instrument.

This instrument can be used in almost 90 per cent of all scaling applications. According to a survey carried out by EMS in 2010, few dentists were aware of its performance potential. Seventy per cent thinner and almost 0.5 times longer than a typical P instrument, the Perio Slim instrument makes interdental and gingival access easier. This means dentists can conserve soft tissue and minimise pain for the patient. According to EMS, this is intended to guarantee more efficient and ergonomically improved work.

The PS instrument is both versatile and durable. The tip can be used for between 2,000 and 3,000 scaling treatments. This durability means reduced treatment costs, as confirmed by 93 per cent of the 1,000 dentists questioned in the survey.

EMS Original Swiss Instruments are manufactured from top quality biocompatible surgical steel, which is moulded, hardened and polished through a complex, precise and controlled manufacturing process. The result is a fine, extremely smooth material surface, which makes the instruments significantly more stable, safer and more durable.
