San Francisco is the spot to be for dental education

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif., USA: Education isn’t just everywhere at CDA Presents the Art and Science of Dentistry — it’s on your way to everywhere and in between. And there’s no better example than The Spot education theatre in the exhibit hall — where you can pause for a quick rest and realize an hour later that you now know exactly why you need to drop one or two of your more problematic patients and how you should do it.

That was the focus of one of the eight one-hour presentations Thursday, “TDIC — Dismissing a Patient: When Is It OK?”

There was more to come Friday and Saturday, with topics such as “Managing Patient Conflicts,” “What is the Cost of the Wrong Hire?” and “We’re One Big Happy Family — Why Complicate Things With an Employee Manual?”

Many of the sessions are even worth a C.E. credit.
