Digital Dentistry Software Developer

Responsibilities:

Timely and accurate execution of responsibilities requires the Digital Dentistry Software Developer to:

• Participate in meetings with industry Key Opinion Leaders, staff, IT colleagues, and other stakeholders to identify user requirements.
• Learn the procedures and expected system performance associated with the introduction of new information technologies, while seeking ways to participate with other departments.
• Participate in the preparation of detailed specifications from which programs will be written.
• Participate in change control and production verification processes.
• Monitor daily problem queues and resolve program specific problems and escalate as appropriate.
• Code/configure programs based on provided detail designs and version control of deliverables.

At the direction of the Vice President, Emerging Technology, the Digital Dentistry Software Developer will be responsible for: development, maintenance, enhancement of software applications and ensuring all documentation requirements are met for release of software. The position will manage the multiple phases of software development, including but not limited to: analysis, implementation and testing.

Qualifications:

• Professional experience programming in Microsoft Visual C++, MFC and COM required.
• Strong background in 3D Graphics, DICOM, Image processing, CNC machine control, and Graphical User Interface design.
• Proficiency with Microsoft computer applications packages required.
• Background and understanding of SQL, .NET – VB/C#, and ASP.NET
• Strong interpersonal skills required.
• Strong organizational skills required.
• Microsoft Certified Professional status desired.
• Background in Biomedical / medical.
• Strong mathematical knowledge relating to experience with computational geometry algorithms or graphical algorithms

Education:

Bachelor of Science or Arts degree in a related discipline (information systems, computer science, engineering, etc.) or relative work experience required.
