The French dental and medical SATELEC-PIERRE ROLLAND Group changed its name into Acteon® in 2003. This year, Acteon Group will be introducing its new Corporate Identity during the IDS in Cologne.

With a turnover of 113 M€ realized in 2010, Acteon Group activity grew by 16%. The distribution of the sales reflects the powerful impact of our subsidiaries and representative offices: 80% of the sales are recorded out of France.

Actually, Acteon Group gathers four companies:

SATELEC® designs, manufactures and distributes dental and medical devices. In association with national research agencies and universities, its integrated R&D department develops ultrasonic units curing lights, micro-motors and high-frequency surgical units.

The ACTEON SATELEC product range is continuously being enhanced to reflect the latest innovations and technological breakthroughs. Mini LED AutoFocus, P5 Newtron® and Air-N-Go® are a few examples of the successful new devices recently launched.

ACTEON SATELEC is world leader in piezoelectric ultrasonic generators with the P5 Newtron® in General Dentistry, Periodontics and Endodontics, as well as with the Piezotome® in oral and pre-implant surgery.

Having been established more than 30 years ago, the De Götzen® Company was founded to design and manufacture advanced high technology. The size of the new plant is 10.000 square meters and it consists of a manufacturing plant, a warehouse and offices which integrate the R&D, design, product quality control and administrative departments.

ACTEON DE GÖTZEN products are marketed and distributed by SATELEC®.

Today Acteon De Götzen manufactures several hi-tech medical products which are at the forefront of electronic technology and with a safety level higher than that required by the current standards in force, for example the X-Mind® intra oral X-ray or the WhiteFox™ 3D-CBCT.

Produits Dentaires Pierre Rolland® is a pharmaceutical laboratory that designs, manufactures and sells consumable and pharmaceutical products for use in dentistry.

With constantly increasing international coverage, ACTEON PIERRE ROLLAND has integrated highly-qualified pharmacists and biologists into its R&D department, working in close collaboration with universities, clinicians and dental experts to create new products and treatment protocols to best address the needs of the practitioner.

The product range includes anaesthetics, therapeutic and endodontic products, impression materials, etc...

Some new products have been launched recently for example Expasyl® (sulcular opening system), Primacaine™ (articaine-based anaesthetic), Biosplint™ (stabilisation of mobile teeth), Riskontrol® Art (disposable tip for the air/water syringe) and Hemostasyl™ (haemostatic paste).

SOPRO is the digital imaging specialist within the Acteon Group, based in La Ciotat (Marseilles) in the Southeast part of France. SOPRO designs imaging solutions both for dental and medical endoscopy applications. The engineers of the R&D dpt. are expert whether in Electronics, Optics, Digital Signal Processing or Software designing.

Sopro offers a wide range of products dedicated to digital imaging, which includes, intra-oral cameras, digital radiology systems and imaging software. All those products are ranked amongst the best performing units of the market. They are available within different configurations allowing integration in almost any surgery.

Very recently, the launching of the new early caries detection system SOPROLIFE®, integrating the fluorescence technology, generated a strong success in the international dental market.

SOPRO-COMEG® is the medical endoscopy specialist within the Acteon Group. It combines the competencies of SOPRO, based in la Ciotat (Marseilles) in the southeast of France, in medical video imaging and of COMEG, based in Tuttlingen (Germany) in engineering endoscopy and micro lenses.

SOPRO-COMEG® goal is to provide the safest and most advanced products that ensure reliable operating procedures and rapid recovery in any of the following applications: Urology, Laparoscopy, Arthroscopy, Gynaecology, Spine and ENT.

SOPRO-COMEG® portfolio includes cameras : SOPRO 397 Full HD, Digilap Titanium®, Sopro 181 USB camera- UBICAM® ; Light sources : Xenon and the Sopro 281 LED light source – UBILED® , Insufflators, Pumps, Shavers and also innovative endoscopes such as HEOS® for the hysteroscopy and ULYSS®, a brand new concept opening new horizons of vision.
