FDI is the organizer and host of the best-known yearly world congress for dentists, which is numbered among the largest meetings for dental medicine worldwide. This dental congress is held in a different country every year, and the World Dental Exhibition takes place at the same locale simultaneously. The World Dental Exhibition offers dentists and those in the dental industry from around the world an outstanding contact platform to exchange experiences and opinions, and to introduce and acquire the leading dental technologies and products. The internationally recognized FDI World Congress and the accompanying World Dental Exhibition allow the worldwide promotion of dental medicine and form an essential cornerstone that allows professional dental associations to finance their activities. The official medium during the FDI World Congresses is the World Dental Exhibition and Congress newspaper, entitled "Worldental Daily".

Annual World Dental Congress
The FDI Annual World Dental Congress (AWDC) plays an important role in the advancement of dentistry. This internationally recognised event is held in a different city every year and comprises of several elements, including:

An educational event with speakers from around the world and a focus on the latest scientific topics affecting the dental profession globally. The programme also features speciality workshops and forums on oral health promotion.

World Dental Exhibition

World Dental Parliament
A gathering of about 350 representatives from FDI member associations to establish the organisation’s strategic direction and adopt policy statements that influence the world of dentistry.
