AMD LASERS adds new bendable, disposable laser tips

AMD LASERS, a global leader in dental lasers and a new member of the DENTSPLY International family of companies, announced the availability of new 60-degree bendable, disposable diode laser tips for use with Picasso laser technology. The new tips offer the clinician the ability to adjust a bendable stainless-steel cannula to allow for access in all areas of the oral cavity.

The new line of adjustable disposable laser tips is available in three diameters: 200, 300 and 400 µm. This new range of diameters allows for greater clinical capability across multiple specialties of dentistry, including accessing root canal spaces or periodontal pockets and delivering bulk amounts of laser energy for soft-tissue surgery.

“Although our line of disposable tips set the bar for convenience, ease of use and affordability, our engineers have one-upped themselves by designing a new tip that allows the user to adjust the angle to suit the case type, clinical conditions and other factors that vary by patient,” said Alan Miller, founder and president of AMD LASERS.

The new adjustable, disposable tips are backward-compatible with existing multi-tip handpieces for use with the Picasso and Picasso Lite. The new tips are not intended for use with conventional strippable/cleavable fiber delivery systems.
