NEW YORK, U.S.: The development of the V3 implant focused on the design of the conical connection and the titanium grade of all components, providing more bone where it matters most. In a free Dental Tribune Study Club webinar on Wednesday, Oct. 17, an expert will give insights into the important evidence-based choices made during the development of the system and, based on clinical indications and cases, demonstrate the clinical impact of this unique implant.
In the webinar, host Dr. David Norre will look at the V3 implant and its unique triangular neck design, which helps in minimal cortical bone compression, though ensures excellent primary stability. This triangular shape also results in narrow chambers around the implant, allowing blood pooling and blood clot formation, thereby maintaining crestal bone vitality and enabling new bone growth, according to Norre.
Norre graduated in dentistry from KU Leuven, Belgium, in 2001, after which he completed a master’s after master’s degree in restorative dentistry at the same university. His interest in implantology led him to attend the University of Liège, Belgium, where he completed two years of training in oral implantology from 2006 to 2008. Norre has been a teacher at KU Leuven since 2007 and lectures on oral implantology and abutment design.
The 1-hour webinar, titled “Biological approach to dental implantology: An evidence based choice,” will be broadcast live on Wednesday, Oct. 17, at 1 p.m. EDT. Attendance is free of charge after easy registration on the website. Participants will be able to ask questions via a chat window and have the opportunity to earn a continuing education credit by completing a multiple-choice questionnaire on the topic.
Dental professionals who are interested in attending the course may register online here.
