CRACOW, Poland: More than 1,000 attendees are expected for the sixth International CAMLOG Congress, which will take place in Cracow from 9 to 11 June. Under the theme “Tackling everyday challenges”, distinguished experts from Europe and the US will present current results from their research and clinical experience in implant dentistry. The event will highlight the entire digital workflow and for the first time feature a digital dentistry pre-congress on 9 June.

Since the first congress in 2006 and the founding of its host, the CAMLOG Foundation, the International CAMLOG Congress has established itself as an important informative and educational event in implant dentistry. This year’s congress again promises to offer a platform for practice-oriented continuing education and open discussions on recent developments in implant and digital dentistry.

Over the past several years, the influence of digital technologies has continued to grow both in the clinic and in the laboratory. Therefore, the organisers have included a full-day digital dentistry pre-congress in the programme that aims to illustrate options, discuss problematic treatments and give practical advice. Experienced speakers will present a comprehensive interdisciplinary view, as well as a future outlook on digital dentistry.

From the beginning, the CAMLOG congress has placed the focus on the everyday challenges of implantologists. Thus, the presentations throughout the event will concentrate on practical relevance and benefits in daily practice. Using an app developed specifically for the congress, participants will have the opportunity to pose questions to the speakers. Moreover, the presenters will be available for personal discussions in the Network Lounge during breaks.

One of the highlights of the congress will be the lecture by guest speaker Prof. Markus Gross, the Director of Disney Research Zurich, which is an international network of research laboratories aimed at fostering scientific and technological innovation at the Walt Disney Company. In his presentation, Gross will guide participants through the digital world of 3-D facial modelling and demonstrate its potential for medical applications.

In addition to the scientific programme, there will be a congress party, held at an old tram depot in the Kazimierz district of Cracow, under the theme “Hard Rock CAMLOG”. Moreover, attendees and their partners can explore the cultural and historical monuments of Poland’s second largest city, Cracow, such as Europe’s largest historical market square and the Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
