Dentsply Sirona World 2022 to offer clinical education

CHARLOTTE, N.C., US: Dentsply Sirona is counting down to the annual Dentsply Sirona World (DS World), which will be held from 15 to 17 September at Caesars Forum in Las Vegas. The “Ultimate Experience in Digital Dentistry” continues to push the frontiers of digital dentistry by combining market-leading clinical education, networking and extraordinary entertainment. This year, dental practices are encouraged to attend DS World and to bring the team so that all dental professionals can meet, share ideas and learn from each other.

DS World guides dental professionals into the future with connected dental solutions for healthy practices and healthy smiles,” he continued.

At DS World 2022, visitors will be able to attend over 100 market-leading clinical education sessions, most of which will offer 1.0–1.5 hours of continuing education. Presented by some of the world’s most esteemed dental experts across almost all dental disciplines, the courses will cover topics such as digital workflows, expanded clinical procedures, practice management and dental team optimisation. The courses include the following:

“Unleash the power of CEREC: 30 uses for digital dentistry in your practice”. In this course, Dr Peter E. Hagen, who implemented CEREC into his practice over 20 years ago, and Dr Storm Hagen, an avid CEREC user and a certified orthodontist, Primescan and SprintRay trainer will discuss how CEREC can become the focal point of an all-digital practice.

“Prime time for Primeprint”. This course will be hosted by Dr Dee Dee Meevasin and is aimed at those who are new to 3D printing or want to maximise efficiency in their current process through Primeprint.

“Plan, print, place and restore: The complete digital implant workflow”. Held by Dr Dan Butterman, this breakout session will discuss proper implant planning with a prosthetic approach, emphasising treatment planning and case acceptance.

“The power of SureSmile with Primescan”. This course by Dr Daniel Vasquez, a dentist in California who has been working with CAD/CAM and CEREC for 14 years, will discuss how new digital workflows and services such as those used and offered by SureSmile can advance dentistry.

“Case selection considerations for the general practitioner”. Dr Beth Ann Damas and Dr David Landwehr will tackle the top five questions that general practitioners ask during endodontic lectures.

“Leaning into risk: Embracing technology and following your purpose to create practice success”. In this course, Dr Chelsea Stangl will teach participants how to use technology to establish practice identity and create a culture of content and never-ending improvement.

Event attendees will also have a chance to view Dr Farhad E. Boltchi’s livestreamed surgery, network with nationally and internationally renowned peers and enjoy DS World’s extraordinary entertainment. The world-class acts will include Emmy- and Golden Globe-nominated actor–comedian David Spade and Rock & Roll Hall of Famers Journey. Sara Blakely, founder of the influential shapewear company SPANX, will join the over 100 event speakers, sharing her meteoric rise from door-to-door salesperson to Forbes-featured billionaire business leader.

Extending DS World beyond the US

In its commitment to transform dentistry to improve oral health, Dentsply Sirona has announced that it is extending the “Ultimate Experience in Digital Dentistry” beyond the US. Local DS World events will also be held in Madrid in Spain from 16 to 17 September 2022 and in Fethiye in Turkey from 27 to 29 October 2022.
