COLOGNE, Germany: Today, Swedish implant manufacturer Neoss presented a new digital workflow and a new type of PTFE membrane at its IDS press conference in Cologne under the company’s motto “Intelligent Simplicity”. In addition, it was announced that Prof. Neil Meredith, who co-founded Neoss back in 2000 would rejoin the company as an adviser.
“At Neoss, we provide everything dental professionals need to treat their patients with implants—all under the umbrella of our efficient digital workflow and intelligent simplicity ethos. We created a digital workflow which saves time and money, but provides a predictable outcome for patients, which is key,” said Dr Robert Gottlander, CEO and president of Neoss.
Delivering the best functional and aesthetic outcome for patients, the new digital workflow consists of six easy steps and involves the use of the ScanPeg scanning and healing abutment and the NeoScan 1000 intra-oral scanner, which was launched last year.
In addition, Neoss expanded its product family with NeoGen Cape, a new type of PTFE membrane. This novel solution is easy to fixate, requires fewer steps, has a higher membrane stability, thereby securing the implant, and offers predictable vertical bone growth, backed by clinical evidence.
Prof. Meredith joined the press event as a surprise guest. The co-inventor of resonance frequency analysis for dental implants left Neoss in 2011 to devote himself to science and has now returned as an adviser. “We are very happy to have him back,” emphasised Dr Gottlander.
“The most important thing to properly treat your patients is a smooth and simple workflow, and I believe Neoss is the very best way to do this, and I am very happy to be partnering with them,” said Prof. Meredith.
“We invite attendees to come visit us to try out our intra-oral scanner NeoScan 1000 and our ScanPeg,” said Dr Gottlander. IDS visitors can find the Neoss booth (#G010–H029) in Hall 11.3.
