CHICAGO, US: The Chicago Dental Society (CDS) has recently announced that registration for the 2024 Midwinter Meeting is now open. The premier dental meeting attracts tens of thousands of attendees from around the globe. In 2024, the event will be held at McCormick Place West in Chicago on 22–24 February.

“The 2024 Midwinter Meeting will deliver one of the most robust scientific programmes ever assembled at the annual event,” said Dr David Lewis Jr, president of the CDS for 2024. “The CDS team has done an excellent job scouting, vetting and hand-picking a roster of more than 120 renowned clinicians and leaders in dental education to deliver hundreds of continuing education-accredited courses spanning a variety of topics directly to attendees under one roof,” he added.

Over its 159-year history, the Midwinter Meeting has cultivated a reputation for attracting dentistry’s best speakers from across the country. The 2024 Midwinter Meeting will provide attendees with more than 230 continuing education-accredited courses, including 40 interactive, hands-on workshops led by leading educators in the field. The February meeting will be a one-stop shop for the best-in-class continuing education (CE) opportunities to provide dentists, hygienists and other members of the dental team with the latest practice management solutions and evidence-based clinical knowledge. Attendees can register and purchase courses on an à la carte basis. Additionally, as an exclusive CDS member benefit, CDS members and their dental teams are eligible for a lecture package at a discounted rate of $275 (€259) per person in November and December and $290 in January.

The 2024 Midwinter Meeting will host more than 400 exhibitors, from new, up-and-coming companies to recognisable industry staples in a more than 18,580 m2 exhibition hall. The latest dental products, technologies and innovations will be introduced, offering dentists and their teams the opportunity to test products and make critical purchasing decisions for their practices.

“The exhibition hall is always buzzing with energy as attendees marvel at the cutting-edge innovations,” commented Dr Lewis. “There is always something new and exciting on the exhibition floor, and you never know what novel innovation is just around the corner. It could be something your office uses to improve patient care or optimise your practice management processes for years to come.”

Events exclusive to the Midwinter Meeting will once again provide fun networking experiences. These events will include the keynote session with television personality and actor Geoffrey Baer, the renamed Sips, Suds and Sales happy hour, the new Yoga for Midwinter Mindfulness, the president’s dinner dance and dedicated networking receptions for new dentists and dental students. In addition to these exclusive events, general networking opportunities will be offered on-site throughout the Midwinter Meeting and across the beautiful city of Chicago.

“The CDS board of directors, Dr Lewis and his Midwinter Meeting co-chairs, Drs David Williams and Yendis Gibson, have poured a tremendous amount of time, care and effort into planning the 2024 Midwinter Meeting,” noted Heather Nash, executive director of the CDS. “The February event will feature the best CE opportunities available, an impressive collection of exhibitors to connect with and a variety of networking events for attendees to expand their networks. I look forward to seeing their vision come together for tens of thousands of attendees to enjoy in February.”
