Integrating tooth movement into comprehensive dental care with minimally invasive care in mind
Since Align Technology developed the Invisalign Go system for dentists in 2016, the portfolio has expanded to accommodate treating a range of simple, mild and moderate malocclusions and is well-suited for orthodontic-restorative cases.
Ortho-restorative treatment represents a growing opportunity for general dentists: integrating tooth movement as part of restorative treatments delivers healthier and longer lasting outcomes. According to a US study, about 75% of patients could benefit from an improvement in their smile and 45% of all prosthetic procedures could benefit from tooth straightening prior to treatment.
First launched in Europe in 2016, and more recently in Middle East, the Invisalign Go portfolio is specifically designed for general dentists to provide a clear aligner system that can be simply integrated into everyday dental care. The Invisalign Go Portfolio is a unique and dedicated solution including: Invisalign Go, a 20-stage aligners treatment ideal as pre-restorative treatment to reduce the need for tooth preparation, Invisalign Go Plus which offers a 26-stage treatment option, that enables extended movements for a wider range of treatment options with a six to six expansion, and Invisalign Go Express System, introduced in 2022, an up to seven-stage treatment option for adult patients who need minor orthodontic corrections for minor gaps, crowding or orthodontic recurrence.
Restorative and orthodontic outcomes can be improved with Invisalign Go treatment. About 96% of surveyed dentists use Invisalign treatment as a pre-restorative technique which can assist with pre-implant spacing, alignment for veneers, alignment for crown restorations and alignment for bridge restorations and composites. In fact, more and more dentists are recognising the importance of teeth straightening as part of a holistic dental treatment.
Increase practice efficiency thanks to digital technology
The Invisalign Go System provides doctors with a fully digitised experience that contributes to practice efficiency and growth. The Invisalign Practice App for example, which is fully integrated with the Invisalign Doctor Site help them streamline their workflow. With the app, they can create patient profiles, capture patient photos, receive information about case applicability and connect with patients. Moreover, Invisalign Virtual Care AI allows the doctor to virtually monitor the patients by reviewing the photos submitted by patient via My Invisalign app. Powered by artificial intelligence (AI), the tool streamlines remote patient monitoring to help prioritize patients where action is required. In addition, powerful tools such as the Invisalign SmileView simulation and the ClinCheck in-face visualisation support the presentation of potential treatment results.
The digital environment also benefits patients. Those undergoing an Invisalign Go treatment, who can use My Invisalign app, a tool supporting them in every step of their treatment, with use and care tips for their Invisalign clear aligners, a personal aligner time log, a calendar to stay on track with practice appointments, taking photos for remote monitoring and a smile gallery allowing patients to review how their smile is progressing. With the Invisalign Go system, dentists enhance the level of care they already provide, achieving their clinical goals thanks to technology.
