Established in 2006 by Dr Willis Pumphrey, ClearCorrect has grown rapidly to become the second-largest clear aligner manufacturer in the world. The company services over 20,000 dentists in the US, Canada, Australia and the UK, and is aiming to expand into the contiguous European market. At the 2017 International Dental Show (IDS) in Cologne in Germany, Dental Tribune Online spoke with Keith Batcheller, Director of Business Development and International Sales and Marketing at ClearCorrect, about the company’s strategy.

Is this ClearCorrect’s first time exhibiting at IDS?
Yes, it is our first time, as we are expanding into the European, North African and Middle Eastern markets. It is not my first time at IDS personally, though, so I was ready for the thousands and thousands of people who come here every day.

How is the company going to cater specifically for European dentists interested in your clear aligner system?
We are going to partner with local distributors in European countries and make use of continuing education courses for dentists. Such courses and webinars are great avenues for educating general dentists on how to properly use ClearCorrect.

How does ClearCorrect differentiate itself from its competitors?
We have been around for 11 years now, so we have the sort of experience and positive clinical results that many newer companies have yet to develop. Moreover, our manufacturing efficiencies allow us to keep our retail price relatively low.
