Event 25 - 29 March 2015

On behalf of the Local Organising Committee of the 36th Australian Dental Congress, it is with great pleasure that I invite you to attend Congress and enjoy the river city of Brisbane.

The theme for Congress is “The Future is Here” and all speakers will have the opportunity to agree with this or indeed to challenge that further innovation and development is possible. Either way the latest in clinical practice, materials and technology will be discussed and displayed.

Over three and a half days, highly acclaimed International and Australian speakers supported by contemporary research, will present a wide range of subjects relevant to practice.

The Keynote speakers are Professor David Bartlett who is head of prosthodontics at the Kings College Dental Institute in London; Professor Kishor Gulabivala also from London where he is the head of Endodontolgy at the Eastman Dental Institute and Professor Frauke Muller from the University of Geneva where she is chair for gerodontology and removable prosthodontics.

These presentations will be complemented by hands on workshops prior to congress, Lunch and Learn sessions on two days and specific programmes for members of the dental team including assistants, practice managers and allied dental personnel.

There will be up to four concurrent sessions to choose from on some days with something for everyone.

A comprehensive industry exhibition will be held alongside the Congress enabling delegate’s access between scientific sessions to view the latest in equipment and materials.

Social activities including a not to be missed welcome function will be available so that congress provides an opportunity to renew friendships and make new ones.

All of this takes place in the BCEC – the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre the venue selected to host the G20 meeting in November this year. The Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre is adjacent to the Southbank Precinct on the banks of the Brisbane River. Nearby are the Queensland Performing Arts Complex, the Queensland Museum and the Queensland Art Gallery and Gallery of Modern Art.

Come and join us for the scientific programme, the opportunity to meet colleagues and the experience that Brisbane has to offer..
