BASEL, Switzerland/KOBLACH, Austria: BioHorizons Camlog and Amann Girrbach recently joined forces and have announced their collaboration in the field of implant prosthetics.
New CAM blanks from BioHorizons Camlog were developed for the Amann Girrbach Ceramill CAD/CAM system, and distribution to dental professionals in Germany and Austria by both companies started in mid-September. Distribution in other European markets followed at the beginning of October.
“The CAM blanks from BioHorizons Camlog feature the blank holder patented by Amann Girrbach and are compatible with our Ceramill CAD/CAM system. This gives our customers and patients a special added value,” explained Michael Göllnitz, managing director of Amann Girrbach. Customised one-piece titanium abutments and healing caps with an original implant connection geometry for the CAMLOG, CONELOG and iSy systems can now be manufactured by Amann Girrbach customers on their own milling machines.
“We are very pleased that, through this cooperation, we are now also able to provide access to our original CAM blanks to dental laboratories working with Amann Girrbach,” said Martin Lugert, CAMLOG managing director with strategic and operational sales management responsibility for the German market.
The partnership of BioHorizons Camlog and Amann Girrbach represents a significant step forward. A greater number of dental professionals now have access to state-of-the-art materials and solutions that can enhance patient care and further improve treatment results.
