Fotona’s SWEEPS in action at IDS 2025: A game-changer in endodontics and beyond

The interest in SWEEPS was particularly evident during a live session titled “Winning with bubbles: The story behind SWEEPS”. Led by Dr Damir Šnjarić, a specialist in dental pathology and endodontics and assistant professor at the University of Rijeka’s Faculty of Dental Medicine in Croatia, the session explored the science of fluid dynamics and demonstrated how SWEEPS builds on conventional endodontic techniques.

After the session, the Fotona team marked the occasion with a glass of sparkling wine and lively discussions about the future of dental care. LightWalker―perfection in laser dentistry

Another focal point at the Fotona stand was LightWalker II, the company’s most advanced dental laser system. Engineered for versatility, it combines two gold-standard wavelengths—2,940 nm Er:YAG and 1,064 nm Nd:YAG—and delivers up to 20 W of power. SkyPulse is a next-generation portable dental laser platform and the recipient of a Red Dot Design Award. This configuration supports a wide variety of treatments, such as endodontics—where SWEEPS irrigation is used—as well as periodontics, implantology and soft-tissue surgery.
