BERLIN, Germany: Quintessence Publishing Deutschland is inviting dental professionals wishing to contribute to humanitarian efforts in Ukraine to register for its Quintessence Live Aid webinar series. The event will be held on 29 April, and all proceeds will be donated. In addition to enjoying a great speaker line-up, participants will receive eight continuing education credits.

“We have decided that we want to come together with our authors, speakers and friends to help the people of Ukraine,” Christian Haase, managing director of Quintessence Publishing, said in a press release. “We all stand for peace everywhere, but at this moment, help is needed most in Ukraine and we hope to set an example for others and send out a clear signal that this war must be stopped.”

The programme schedule is divided into disciplines and has the format of three half-hour lectures by expert speakers followed by a discussion. Topics in implant dentistry will be presented in the morning and periodontics before lunch. After the break, the talks and discussions will focus on prosthodontics, followed by digital dentistry, and the restorative dentistry presentations will wrap up the day.

Altogether, more than a dozen experts from all over the world, including two from Ukraine, will be offering the latest insights into their areas of interest within their disciplines. Well-known industry voices will include Prof. Anton Sculean and Prof. Irena Sailer as well as Drs Christian Coachman, Pascal Magne, Kyle Stanley and Miguel Stanley.

The many topics to be covered are varied and interesting, including the zero bone loss concept in implant dentistry, treatment of challenging mandibular recession in periodontics, full-mouth rehabilitation in prosthodontics, digitalisation and artificial intelligence in digital dentistry and biomimetics in restorative dentistry.

The all-day webinar series will air from 8:45 to 19:15 (CET). Those who wish to contribute more than the registration fee may do so on the registration portal. Optional additional contributions can be made in increments of €99, €150 and €200.
