CHICAGO, US: The Chicago Dental Society (CDS) has opened registration for next year’s Midwinter Meeting, to be held at McCormick Place West in Chicago from 19–21 February 2026. The meeting is regarded as one of North America’s largest dental events and will feature a refreshed exhibition hall layout and other attendee-focused upgrades.

Maintaining its emphasis on high-quality continuing education (CE) and product discovery, the 2026 programme offers more than 230 CE-accredited courses, including 45 hands-on workshops and 26 free sessions spanning current, foundational and specialised topics. More than 400 exhibitors, including over 35 first-time participants, are expected.

“This year, we’re proud to be introducing enhancements that both honour the event’s historic roots while elevating the attendee experience with new amenities, comforts, conveniences, upgraded technologies and many other exciting surprises,” said CDS president-elect Dr Philip L. Schefke in a press release.

The organisers further announced that the exhibition hall has been redesigned to create a more attendee-centred environment, with added amenities, expanded food and beverage options and interactive zones to encourage longer visits and easier access to exhibitors.

Returning programme elements include wellness activities, student and hygienist gatherings, social events and a keynote session with a high-profile guest speaker. New for the upcoming event are dedicated lounges for early-career dentists and international attendees, alongside additional networking opportunities at the venue and across the city.

“Every year, the dedicated CDS team works tirelessly to deliver an experience that brings together tens of thousands of dental professionals from around the world,” said Dr William A. Simon, chair of the 2026 CDS Scientific Program and Speakers Committee. “For the 2026 Midwinter Meeting, we’re raising the bar once again with fresh ideas and exciting new enhancements. If you only put one meeting on your calendar, it should be this one.”
