SOFIA, Bulgaria: Celebrating its 15th year, the Smile of the Year award will honour the accomplishments of dental professionals from around the world across 20 highly competitive categories. To be held on 19 May in Sofia, the gala event will once again be hosted by its founding body, Dental Tribune Bulgaria, and will be livestreamed.
Sixty-two compelling dental cases have been submitted by dental professionals from eight countries to compete in 20 categories, including complex aesthetic and ceramic restorations, orthodontic and implant cases, and dental art photography. Dental students too have submitted cases in a designated category. The award recipients will be determined based on anonymous online judging by Drs Rafael Romano from Israel, Siegfried Marquardt from Germany, Giulio Rasperini from Italy, Walter Devoto from Italy, Mirela Feraru from Romania and Gary Glassman from Canada, Prof. Paola Cozza from Italy and Ciprian Boca from Romania.
Aside from a stunning trophy, first-place winners will receive gift vouchers and gifts from the show sponsors. Runners-up will be given commemorative certificates.
The event is sponsored by Pierre Fabre Oral Care, bredent group Bulgaria, DÜRR DENTAL, iTero, Axis Dental, BioGaia, BioHorizons and FILLMED.
