LOS ANGELES, Calif., USA: Last week, Sage Moonblood Stallone, son of the famous actor Sylvester Stallone, was found dead in his apartment in Los Angeles. His mother has blamed a dental procedure for his death, as Moonblood had suffered from excruciating pain and allegedly died from an overdose of painkillers following surgery.

As reported by the New York Post, the 36-year-old had experienced severe pain following a dental procedure. He had had five teeth pulled only two weeks before his death, his mother told the newspaper. She also said that she had tried to dissuade him from having the procedure done, as she had heard about people dying after having undergone multiple treatments simultaneously.

As Moonblood had been taking painkillers after the surgery, investigators think that his death might have been the result of an accidental overdose, the newspaper stated.

According to celebrity news website TMZ, Moonblood had been dead for three to four days already when he was found. Investigators discovered two drawers filled with various pill bottles.

His attorney told the New York Post that there is strong evidence that Moonblood's death was an accident, as he had been working on a number of projects and planned on getting married.

Moonblood was the elder son from Stallone's first marriage to Sasha Czack. In 1990, the young man made his acting debut alongside his father in "Rocky V" and later became a director and film producer.
