Dentsply Sirona to hold first DS World event in Asia

TOKYO, Japan: Registration for Dentsply Sirona World Tokyo 2024 is open. This inaugural DS World event in the Asia-Pacific region is scheduled to take place on 23 and 24 November at the Bellesalle Shiodome venue, located in the city’s Shiodome district, close to Tokyo Bay and Hama-rikyu Gardens.

Over the course of the two days, attendees will be able to participate in a programme combining education, technological innovation and networking opportunities, alongside entertainment. Besides the main stage presentations, there will be numerous breakout sessions, including several focusing on DS Core, CEREC Primescan and SureSmile.

The event will bring together a distinguished line-up of speakers who will address various aspects of modern dentistry. On the main stage, digital will be a major focus. Dr Daniel Butterman will present on the digital journey from diagnosis to treatment. Dr Mark Ludlow will explore the evolving digital workflows in dentistry. Dr Martin Wanendeya will discuss digital technology for achieving optimal pink and white aesthetics in implant dentistry. Dr Takanari Miyamoto will provide an overview of the past, present and future of dental digitalisation in the US. Dr Shinya Matsuoka will cover key considerations for aligner treatment.

Also on the main stage, Dr Junichi Watahiki will address comprehensive orthodontic treatment with SureSmile, and Dr Yuji Kobayashi will talk about taking a comprehensive digital treatment approach with SureSmile and CEREC. Drs Teppei Tsukiyama and Shogo Ando will present on the future of digital transformation with the DS PrimeTaper Implant System. In a breakout session, Dr Nimet Adatia will give a lecture and participate in a discussion on Dentsply Sirona’s FirstTo50 programme focused on advancing women in dentistry.

The event will also support Dentsply Sirona’s sustainability initiative, “BEYOND: Taking Action for a Brighter World”, aimed at promoting sustainable practices within the dental industry. Dentsply Sirona will employ the occasion of DS  to share the tools and educational programmes the company has developed to advance sustainability in dentistry. Furthermore, DS World Tokyo will offer sustainable catering and minimise the use of printed materials.

The event’s official language will be Japanese, and interpretation into English will be available for main stage presentations. Further details and registration information can be found here.
