Carro will bring to his new role over 30 years of experience leading teams in sales, marketing and general management, Dentsply Sirona said in a press release. He joined the US-headquartered dental company in September 2017 as commercial lead for dental implant sales in Iberia, and from July 2018, he worked as vice president and general manager of the company’s operations in the region and also took charge of the SureSmile aligner business in EMEA.  

A trained economist and graduate of Esade Business School in Barcelona in Spain, Carro previously held managerial roles at Klockner, Vidrala and Habitat.

Carro has replaced Gerry Campbell, who will continue part-time at Dentsply Sirona until he retires in June next year after more than 20 years of service at the company.
