The Original. The Master.

The Swiss-made AIRFLOW Prophylaxis Master was developed in the EMS Research Center with more than 100,000 hours of technical and clinical testing.

The revolutionary concept of AIR-FLOWING has been clearly defined for the very first time in the study “A novel method to measure the powder consumption of dental air-polishing devices” published in Applied Sciences, a peer-reviewed journal. This study highlights the differences in powder consumption between air-polishing devices and the AIRFLOW Prophylaxis Master from EMS. The AIRFLOW Prophylaxis Master has by far the most constant powder flow, the lowest powder consumption and the longest working time (up to 40 minutes).

Unpredictable device behavior and large variations in powder consumption can have detrimental effects on a prophylaxis treatment. An even powder flow as well as a low powder consumption ensure minimal invasiveness and treatment comfort for the patients and clinicians. These fundamental factors are key for Guided Biofilm Therapy (GBT), an evidence-based, modular, clinical and systematic protocol for oral prevention, prophylaxis and therapy. Focused on patient as well as clinician comfort, the minimal invasive GBT treatment can only be performed with the AIRFLOW Prophylaxis Master.

Following the results of the study that showed significant and substantial differences in powder management, the terminology AIR-FLOWING represents the perfect synergy between the AIRFLOW Prophylaxis Master, the new AIRFLOW MAX handpiece and erythritol-based AIRFLOW PLUS powder.

AIR-FLOWING should not be confused with traditional air polishing.
