PRAGUE, Czech Republic: Alongside its prestigious scientific programme and international industry exhibition, the 2026 FDI World Dental Congress, which will take place from 4 to 7 September, will include a social dimension that introduces delegates to Prague. Its official social events will provide a valuable opportunity to experience the city’s rich cultural heritage, architectural splendour and warm hospitality. Set in two of Prague’s most distinguished venues, the social programme will balance formal elegance with authentic local character, creating memorable occasions for celebration and connection.

The highlight of the programme will be the gala dinner at Prague Castle on 5 September. The choice of venue is significant: Prague Castle is one of the world’s largest castle complexes and has stood at the heart of Czech history for over a millennium. Once the seat of Bohemian kings and Holy Roman emperors and today the official residence of the president of the Czech Republic, the castle offers a setting of remarkable historical and cultural significance.

The gala dinner will take place in the Spanish Hall, one of the most prestigious state rooms in central Europe. Used for the country’s most important ceremonial occasions, the hall will provide a setting that many delegates are unlikely to experience elsewhere. A black tie dress code and a carefully curated evening programme will lend the event an atmosphere of refinement, celebration and international fellowship.

The following evening, Prague Night at the Municipal House will reveal another side of the city. Whereas the gala dinner will showcase the grandeur of Czech history, Prague Night will offer a more relaxed and convivial encounter with the city’s cultural identity. The Municipal House is one of its most celebrated art nouveau landmarks, admired for its richly decorated interiors and architectural beauty. Prague Night will take place in its historic brewery restaurant, which has welcomed guests since 1912, making it a true Prague institution.

A smart casual dress code will reflect the warm and informal feel of Prague Night. Guests will be able to enjoy classic Czech cuisine, drinks and an evening programme designed to encourage relaxed conversation beyond the congress halls.

Together, the gala dinner and Prague Night will offer participants a social programme defined by prestige and authenticity, formal elegance and genuine Czech warmth. The two evenings will allow delegates to experience Prague both as a city of ceremony and history and as a place of convivial hospitality. For those attending the congress, the events promise not only memorable settings but also valuable opportunities to engage with peers beyond the formal congress programme.

The gala dinner will take place on the Saturday evening from 19:30 to 00:00. Tickets cost €350 and include the evening programme and exclusive access to the historic castle grounds. Prague Night will be held on the Sunday from 19:30 to 23:00. Tickets cost €99 and include a buffet dinner, drinks and the evening programme. Both events are open to registered congress participants only, and further details are available on the congress website.
