AMMERBUCH, Germany: The Ivoclar Group, a global provider of integrated solutions for high-quality dental care, and vhf camfacture, a leading manufacturer of dental milling and grinding machines, tools and CAM software, are further expanding their long-standing partnership. This expansion includes the validation of additional vhf milling machines for processing the widely used IPS e.max CAD material. To facilitate a smooth start in CAM production, new vhf milling machine users will receive material starter packages accompanied by product training.
Since 2024, vhf has been an Ivoclar authorised milling partner for IPS e.max CAD with its N4+ wet milling machine. This partnership ensures a validated workflow for processing the original lithium disilicate glass‑ceramic and delivering reliable, reproducible results.
Starting this month, the highly automated Z4 from the High End Class and the compact E4 from the Ease Class will also be validated for efficient CAD/CAM production of fully anatomical IPS e.max CAD restorations using PrograMill holders. According to the company, the material provides high-quality aesthetics and clinically proven durability and can be used for a broad range of indications. It is designed to be processed within coordinated workflows to support consistent results in restorations that require both aesthetic appearance and mechanical stability over time.
Quick start for in-house production
Ivoclar and vhf are also collaborating on materials to support the start-up phase in chairside production. When purchasing a vhf milling or grinding machine, practices will receive a country-specific voucher for an Ivoclar CAD/CAM material starter package, which includes training for the team in the relevant clinical workflow.
The partnership between Ivoclar and vhf integrates vhf’s precise and user-friendly milling and grinding machines with Ivoclar’s durable and aesthetic materials. This collaboration supports the production of dental restorations aimed at achieving long-term clinical outcomes.
