ISTANBUL, Turkey: Osstem Implant’s subsidiary in Turkey has announced that, in collaboration with the Turkish Dental Association, it has provided financial aid and other support to the area most severely affected by the recent earthquakes.
Although the subsidiary is located in Istanbul and was thus not directly affected by the earthquakes and continues normal business operations, it has also offered support funds to local employees whose direct family members have been victims of the disaster to help them stabilise their livelihoods.
Because the Turkish subsidiary does business with dentists throughout Turkey, Seo Younguk, head of the Turkish subsidiary, explained that he would visit each branch of the local dental association to identify the damage its dental customers had suffered and convey the company’s support and goodwill.

Osstem’s Turkish subsidiary holds a high share of the local implant market. It operates 13 branches in major cities, including Ankara and Istanbul, and employs around 100 people, among them expatriates from Osstem’s headquarters in South Korea.
As of 2022, there are over 50,000 dentists working across Turkey and around 20,000 dental practices, of which 8,000 provide implant treatment. Osstem’s subsidiary in Turkey plans to strengthen its business activities and clinical training for local dentists to increase the percentage of dentists in Turkey capable of performing implant procedures to more than 60% by 2026.
The company’s planned global dental academic symposium, Osstem World Meeting 2023, will still take place from 12 to 13 May in Istanbul.
