HELSINKI, Finland: Planmeca, a company known for its expertise in dental equipment and software, has announced a new partnership with The Aspen Group (TAG), the parent company of US dental support organisation (DSO) Aspen Dental Management. Through the delivery of advanced digital imaging solutions to the DSO’s clinics across the US, the partnership aims to enhance clinical outcomes and elevate the patient experience.

TAG is one of the largest and fastest-growing healthcare businesses in the US, and Aspen Dental Management supports more than 1,100 dental practices. Planmeca said that the Planmeca Viso and Planmeca ProMax 3D imaging units, and Planmeca ProX, Planmeca ProSensor HD and Planmeca ProX GO 2D intra-oral imaging systems had been selected for integration across the DSO’s network after a rigorous evaluation process.

The CBCT units feature Planmeca CALM technology, which minimises retakes caused by patient movement and delivers a faster and more efficient experience for patients. Additional benefits include a larger diagnostic field of view and the Planmeca Ultra Low Dose imaging protocol for enhanced safety.

Heikki Kyöstilä, president, CEO and founder of Planmeca Group, commented: “Planmeca imaging units are globally recognised for their exceptional performance and reliability. Our main goal is to provide dental professionals worldwide with cutting-edge technology that supports accurate diagnostics, optimises treatment planning and elevates patient care.” Kyöstilä added: “We are honoured that TAG has selected our solutions to enhance patient experiences across the US. This partnership reflects our strong commitment to the US dental community, and we are excited to expand our support for dental practices and radiology centres nationwide with the latest advancements in imaging technology.”

Dr Arwinder Judge, chief clinical officer at Aspen Dental, said: “We are committed to providing clinicians access to the most advanced tools and technologies available. Partnering with Planmeca ensures that every practice under the Aspen Dental brand is equipped with state-of-the-art imaging solutions that enhance diagnostic precision, streamline clinical workflows and support doctors in delivering high-quality dental care.” Dr Judge added that the investment reflects the DSO’s mission to empower clinicians with the resources needed to deliver exceptional oral care.

Planmeca has previously partnered with another TAG brand, ClearChoice Dental Implant Centers, delivering imaging solutions to over 100 locations. At ClearChoice, Planmeca Viso has become the centrepiece of digital treatment planning, owing to its artificial intelligence-enhanced imaging capabilities and low-dose imaging protocols for enhanced safety.
