PRAGUE, Czech Republic: The final countdown for ROOTS SUMMIT has begun. The congress will be held four weeks from today, offering one day of hands-on courses and three days of lectures, as well as the opportunity for social interaction and engaging with industry representatives—all in the historic city of Prague, which is absolutely worth a visit. In the run-up to the event, the organisers asked several speakers about their reasons for joining ROOTS SUMMIT this May.
In her lecture, Dr Catherine Ricci from France will be explaining to participants how to decide whether large lesions should be treated endodontically or surgically. She said: “During the last two years, owing to the pandemic, meetings of all scientific societies around the world were cancelled or had to be held online. We saw each other through interposed screens, but were unable to physically communicate. I hope that during ROOTS SUMMIT we will be able to discuss the evolution of our practices and spend some friendly and joyful time together. I look forward to meeting you all in May.”
Prof. Gianluca Gambarini from Italy will be addressing the use of CBCT in endodontics and analysing the differences between 2D and 3D radiographs. “In one of the most beautiful cities in the heart of Europe, I will soon meet many great endodontists and friends again. This fills my heart with joy and excitement. We have all missed this endodontic meeting a lot and are ready to enjoy its friendly atmosphere,” he emphasised.
Bioceramics in endodontics will be the focus of the lecture by Dr Meetu Kohli from the US. Commenting on what she is looking forward to, she said: “I am so grateful that the organisers waited patiently to hold ROOTS SUMMIT as an on-site event so that we can all finally meet in the beautiful city of Prague! See you all there for some learning and fun!”
During his lecture, Dr Francesc Abella from Spain will be teaching attendees the main indications for intentional replantation and how to digitally plan the process. He will also be discussing the advantages and possible complications of tooth auto-transplantation. He emphasised: “It will be a pleasure to be present at ROOTS SUMMIT 2022, as it will be my first edition in face-to-face format. I look forward to being surrounded by speakers from all over the world and to gaining scientific knowledge along with all kinds of clinical tips. What are you waiting for to join us?”
“Endodontic algorithms in decision-making and clinical workflow” is the title of the lecture by Dr Roberto Cristian Cristescu from Romania. He said that he is looking forward to “a great endodontic event, very interesting lectures and finally being able to meet my ROOTS friends from all over the globe. Let’s join this event together and make the ROOTS SUMMIT spirit triumph once again!”
