BRISBANE, Australia: The countdown has begun for ADX Brisbane, the latest event in the major Australian dental exhibition series. The event will take place from 27 to 29 October over 10,000 m2 of exhibition space at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre. According to the organisers, there has never been a more important time for dental professionals to come together and connect.

Dental professionals from Australia, Asia Pacific countries and further afield will meet in Brisbane for the highly anticipated event, which will feature 150 exhibitors and 400 stands showcasing leading local and international dental companies and their very latest wares. The organiser, the Australian Dental Industry Association (ADIA), says that the focus of the exhibition lies at the intersection of dental technology and product and service innovation, and that visitors will be treated to the most advanced oral health technology that the Australian dental industry has to offer.

ADX Brisbane will be a dental exhibition that is in tune with the times. ADIA has crafted an event that reflects the realities of the modern-day treatment team and which maximises in-person interaction, networking and hands-on education opportunities after yet another challenging pandemic winter. Free childcare will be offered on-site for dental team members who often juggle work and family commitments, and longer opening hours will make it possible for more busy dental professionals to attend without having to miss a day’s work.

AIDA told Dental Tribune International that there will be “plenty of action running alongside the exhibition.” The three-day programme will feature social and networking events that recognise the contribution of women to dentistry and offer business-focused learning opportunities for both budding and seasoned dental entrepreneurs. Tickets are already on sale for the Opening Breakfast event with investor and adventurer Gus Balbontin on Thursday, 27 October, and for the Women in Dentistry Breakfast on Saturday, 29 October, which will be hosted by entrepreneur and brand director Justine Flynn. The early bird breakfast events are intended to catapult dental professionals into the microcosm of today’s busy, connected dental world that is ADX.

Diverse educational programme awaits dental teams at ADX Brisbane

This year, ADX’s educational programme is the result of a collaboration between ADIA and the Queensland branch of the Australian Dental Association (ADAQ). ADIA will present a series of on-site Learning Lab sessions, and the ADAQ has organised the conference programme. Both of these will unfold on-site over the three days of ADX Brisbane. Topics that will be discussed by the expert speakers and educators include the latest prebiotic and biomimetic approaches to treating oral disease (presented by Prof. Eric Reynolds of the Melbourne Dental School) and the treatment of patients who are aged or have disabilities (presented by Dr Claudia Lopez Silva of the University of Queensland School of Dentistry). Members of the dental team can attend Learning Lab sessions covering topics as diverse as cybersecurity for dental clinics and building a framework for earning over A$100,000 (€67,000) per year through tooth whitening in dental clinics. Readers can browse the full programme on the exhibition website.

ADX Brisbane will follow up on the successes of ADX Melbourne, which was held in the Victorian capital last year. Visitors can register for the event here.
