LONDON, UK: The past two years have wreaked havoc on physical dental events, yet there remains reason for optimism. On 25 and 26 March 2022, the BDIA Dental Showcase, the largest annual dental trade show in the UK, will be held in an in-person context for the first time since 2019. The event organisers—MA Exhibitions and the British Dental Industry Association (BDIA)—have promised that next year’s iteration of the free dental show will raise the standards of oral care in the country.
The 2022 BDIA Dental Showcase will take place at ExCeL London and is set to remain free of charge for attendees. The 2020 event was initially postponed from October 2020 to March 2021 in light of the COVID-19 pandemic and eventually took place in a purely virtual setting. Recordings from this event are available on demand on the Dental Showcase’s website.
Though the details of the full event programme are still being finalised, MA Exhibitions and the BDIA have already announced the conference streams for the 2022 showcase. The Business Theatre will provide attendees with insights and advice on building a successful and profitable dental practice and will cover topics including financing, marketing, human resources and buying or selling a practice. The Clinical and Oral Health Theatres, meanwhile, will deliver a wealth of specialist knowledge as well as offering information about the latest solutions and developments in dentistry.
The British Association of Private Dentistry (BAPD), a non-profit organisation that exclusively represents private dentists in the UK, is responsible for a new addition to next year’s BDIA Dental Showcase. The BAPD Theatre will provide advice and empower dental professionals to deliver high-quality dental care to all patients, the event organisers stated.
