COLOGNE, Germany: Parkell, a recognised global leader in dental materials and equipment manufacturing for over 70 years, is proud to introduce its latest advancement in bioactive restorative materials: Predicta Bioactive Bulk and Predicta Bioactive Core.
Predicta Bioactive Bulk and Predicta Bioactive Core are dual-cured resin composites that release fluoride, calcium and phosphate ions to stimulate mineral apatite formation and remineralisation at the material–tooth interface. They deliver a unique combination of physical and chemical properties that are dimensionally stable, with excellent strength, time-efficient handling, and optical characteristics close to those of natural teeth. Predicta products meet ISO standards and have been cleared by the US Food and Drug Administration as bioactive materials. Products relatively new to the profession, they provide stronger bonds between the restoration and the tooth, penetrate and fill micro-gaps, reduce sensitivity, protect against secondary caries, and seal margins against microleakage and failure.
Predicta Bioactive Bulk and Core are suitable for direct or indirect restorations and are both offered in multiple shades and viscosities. They are engineered with unique chemistry to match the technique of the user and to meet the clinical demands of the patient. And, unlike some of the earlier bioactive products on the market, Predicta products are highly radiopaque, making for easier identification and clean-up. For more information on Predicta Bioactive, and other great Parkell products visit Parkell at IDS 2019 (Hall 11.3, Booth K040–L049).
