HANOI, Vietnam: More than 200 national and international companies participated in the recent Vietnam International Dental Exhibition and Congress (VIDEC 2022), the country’s premier dental event. Staged under the theme “Dentistry in the new era”, VIDEC 2022 was held in the Friendship Cultural Palace in Hanoi from 17 to 19 August, and Vietnam’s deputy minister of health, Prof. Tran Van Thuan, praised the efforts of the Vietnam Odonto-Stomatology Association in organising the congress.
World-leading manufacturers from the US, Japan, Australia, Germany, Switzerland and other countries occupied over 350 booths to demonstrate their existing product ranges and introduce new dental solutions. Prestigious international experts from 12 countries in the region conducted a total of 97 presentations, delivering a cutting-edge scientific programme on topics such as innovative orthodontics, long-term dental implants, maxillofacial reconstruction, minimally invasive restoration and early caries prevention. In addition, a rich programme of forums and social events was provided for attendees.
Prof. Trinh Dinh Hai, president of the Vietnam Odonto-Stomatology Association, said that, as the top dental event in Vietnam and one of the most important in the region, VIDEC has become a much-anticipated annual meeting for professionals across the breadth of the dental industry.
