GANGNEUNG, South Korea: HASSBIO, a global pioneer in dental prosthetic materials, has officially introduced Amber DryMill to the South Korean market. Developed for dry-milling workflows, the lithium disilicate material was recently presented at the Korea Dental Technology Expo & Scientific Conference in Goyang.

At the HASSBIO booth, dental technicians were able to learn about Amber DryMill and its use in dry-milling workflows. Additionally, the company presented information on the material’s microstructure and how it is intended to support dry-milling performance. HASSBIO also outlined the Amber DryMill evaluation programme, through which participants test the material and provide feedback.

Edge stability during dry milling

Amber DryMill combines suitability for dry milling with the optical and bonding properties associated with lithium disilicate. According to the company, the material’s microstructure has been designed to facilitate dry milling and maintain edge stability, even at thin restoration margins. HASSBIO also noted that the material may help reduce milling bur wear, potentially improving productivity and extending bur service life.

Optical properties and adhesive cementation

According to HASSBIO, the material exhibits fluorescence and light transmission properties that support a natural-looking appearance. The company says that restorations fabricated from the material can be etched with hydrofluoric acid and adhesively cemented according to established protocols for lithium disilicate.

International launch planned for 2027

According to HASSBIO, Amber DryMill received regulatory approval in South Korea in June. The material is intended for use with compatible laboratory milling systems and is currently available in block form. The company said that it plans to introduce a disc format by October.

HASSBIO plans to expand distribution as Amber DryMill receives regulatory approval in additional markets. The company intends to launch the product outside South Korea at the 2027 International Dental Show, which will take place from 16 to 20 March in Cologne in Germany. At the event, HASSBIO will present clinical data collected in the interim, together with the complete Amber DryMill range.

HASSBIO is currently accepting applications for the Amber DryMill evaluation programme. Further information on the material, including its processing protocols and the product range, is available on the HASSBIO website.
