RIMINI, Italy: Regarded as one of the most relevant international trade shows in the dental industry in Italy, Expodental Meeting will be taking place in just under six months. With a comprehensive format combining business, science and innovation, the event will attract both industry and dental professionals. The show will be held from 17 to 19 May at the Rimini Expo Centre.

According to Expodental Meeting, the exhibition is continually growing. In 2017, 18,000 dental professionals visited the event, 23 per cent more than in 2016—and over 150 Italian and international dental companies have confirmed their participation for 2018. The organiser attributes this growth in part to the collaboration with the Italian dental industry, which has proved to be as vital as ever, with increasing investments by Italian dental practices and laboratories.

Additionally, through a collaboration between the Italian Dental Industries Association, which organises Expodental Meeting, and the Italian Trade Agency, over 100 qualified foreign delegates from all over the world will be invited to the event. Focusing on South East Asia for 2018, both organisations will be doing additional market research to find local dealers in Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam and the Philippines.

In 2018, in addition to the exhibition, a comprehensive cultural and scientific programme for dentists and dental technicians, hygienists and assistants will take place in the training rooms in the halls of the exhibition centre. For professional development, a panel of high-level lecturers has been selected, in partnership with the most significant dental associations and universities, to offer comprehensive training opportunities and continuing education.
