DUBLIN, Ireland: Linda AI, a health technology startup expanding front-desk capacity in dental practices, has raised €2.6 million in capital in an early-stage funding round led by 6 Degrees Capital. The company will use the new funding to expand its engineering team, build a dedicated sales team and roll out the software to additional dental practices in Ireland and the UK.

Voice-based artificial intelligence (AI) agents are rapidly being adopted in the service-intensive healthcare industry. Industry-specific AI solutions are proving far more useful and practical than general-purpose alternatives because they incorporate domain knowledge and integrate more smoothly with existing workflows. Dentistry is emerging as a particularly compelling area of application given its high call volumes, complex operational workflows, and nuanced appointment and treatment scheduling needs.

Dental practices still rely heavily on phone calls to manage appointments, yet more than a quarter of inbound calls are missed. This can represent over €10,000 in lost monthly revenue for a typical four-site clinic. Linda AI’s voice agents are available 24/7, handling calls received during busy working times and after hours, making outbound calls to confirm appointments and rescheduling within existing practice management systems—without requiring staff intervention.

“A lot of missed bookings come down to capacity. Linda AI handles inbound calls when front desks are stretched, so clinics don’t miss opportunities while teams focus on patients in the chair,” explained India Healy O’Connor, CEO of Linda AI. She and her sister, Portia Healy O’Connor, started the company. They grew up around their father’s medical practice, and this gave them early insight into the operational strain faced by clinics.

According to the company, Linda AI aims to deliver measurable impact for dental practices, and clinics using its software report that one in four new patient bookings now come through Linda AI. Furthermore, they report a 15% increase in overall bookings, a 30% drop in patient no-shows and a 10% reduction in related administrative work for front-desk teams. These benefits of the software translate to higher revenue, improved calendar utilisation and greater operational efficiency for dental practices.

Dr Annette Staunton, owner of Cube Dental, a three-site dental group in Ireland, shared her experience: “Linda AI integrates seamlessly with our cloud-based practice management software and phone system. It has given us the flexibility to handle calls and bookings out of hours and at weekends, while improving appointment confirmations, particularly for patients who haven’t responded to text messages.”

Linda AI’s deep understanding of dental operations, combined with seamless integration into existing practice management systems, delivers immediate operational alignment and measurable financial impact, according to the company. These benefits are fuelling its rapid adoption across the industry. Linda AI is already in use across more than 50 sites in Ireland and the UK, partnering with some of the largest dental support organisations in both markets, as well as with high-volume single-location practices.

Christina Franzeskides, principal at 6 Degrees Capital, commented: “Voice AI agents are taking markets by storm, rapidly transforming industries through improved operational efficiency and customer experience. The dental industry is particularly attractive because it is operating at full demand but is constrained by front-desk capacity. Linda AI addresses this bottleneck by using voice AI that integrates seamlessly into existing practice operations, rather than attempting to replace front-desk teams, delivering clear return on investment for practices and enabling them to meaningfully increase revenue.”

Franzeskides added: “We are thrilled to partner with Linda AI and were drawn to the company from our very first meeting with the founders at a female founder dinner. As sisters, they have highly complementary skill sets and have demonstrated a rare combination of focus, execution strength and unique team synergy—one we have rarely seen in other founding teams. We were especially impressed by the speed at which they secured early partnerships with dental practices, demonstrating their ability to execute.”
