Alliedstar, a provider of advanced scanning and CAD/CAM solutions, has launched the Alliedstar Academy, a new online education platform designed to help dental professionals master digital dentistry. The platform offers practical training through expert-led live webinars, on-demand courses and educational videos. Registration is free of charge, and the live programme begins this week.

On Thursday at 5 p.m. CEST, Dr Hossam Hamdy Elsabagh, assistant lecturer of periodontology, oral medicine and oral radiology at Alexandria Faculty of Dentistry in Egypt, will present the inaugural webinar. The session will examine the history of edentulous treatment and the shift from conventional impressions to digital technology.

Two live webinars are scheduled for next month. On 7 May at 5 p.m. CEST, Dr Amr Elkhadem, professor of prosthodontics at Cairo University in Egypt, will discuss clinical accuracy, including artificial intelligence-driven scanbody recognition, automatic matching and soft-tissue management. On 20 May at 3 p.m. CEST, US-based oral surgeon Dr Sultan Muhammad will examine how digital innovation is transforming full-arch implant workflows.

The live webinar series will continue on 1 June at 7 p.m. CEST, when Dr Sergio Florencio, a specialist in prosthodontics and dental implantology, will outline the role of clinician-technician communication in successful full-arch restorations. On 2 July at 5 p.m. CEST, dental professionals will have the opportunity to learn more about advanced clinical workflows for full-arch edentulous implant scanning supported by artificial intelligence from Dr Albéric Santamaria-Loisy, a French general dentist with a focus on implantology.

In addition to its live programme, the Alliedstar Academy already features educational videos and on-demand webinars, including courses by Dr Ahmad Al-Hassiny, founder of the Institute of Digital Dentistry. More information can be found at www.academy-allied-star.com.
