ZURICH, Switzerland: Nobel Biocare has announced that it is now an official distributor of 3Shape’s TRIOS intra-oral scanners, which are known for their accuracy, ease of use and patient-friendliness. By aligning the innovative scanning technology with Nobel Biocare’s expertise in implant-based restorations and prosthetics, the new cooperation will offer customers a streamlined digital workflow ranging from scan to final restoration.
Nobel Biocare markets its own intra-oral scanner, DEXIS IS, which is based on technology acquired from Carestream Dental in 2022. The company emphasised in a press release that DEXIS remains a core element of its portfolio, explaining that this “dual approach not only enhances the range of cutting-edge tools available to dental professionals but also reaffirms our pledge to quality care and innovation.”
Rosemary O’Neill, vice president and general manager of Procera’s digital solutions unit, commented that the companies aim to empower clinicians through innovation. “By partnering with 3Shape and distributing TRIOS scanners, we’re enabling our customers to access one of the most advanced intra-oral scanning solutions available, supported by Nobel Biocare’s expertise and service network,” she said.
The partnership provides seamless integration of TRIOS scanners with Nobel Biocare digital workflows. Alongside this, it enables the dental companies to collaboratively improve treatment efficiencies and provide dental professionals with access to world-class training and educational resources.
“We are excited to collaborate with Nobel Biocare to expand access to TRIOS,” commented John Cusack, chief commercial officer at 3Shape. “This partnership ensures more dental professionals can benefit from a proven digital solution that enhances patient care and practice efficiency,” he added.
TRIOS scanners are available for purchase through Nobel Biocare in select markets.
