CHICAGO, US: Registration has opened for the Chicago Dental Society (CDS) Midwinter Meeting, which will return to the McCormick Place West Building in Chicago from 25 to 27 February 2027. The meeting will feature an expanded scientific programme and introduce the Midwinter Meeting Digital Pass, which will provide access to recorded educational sessions.

The pass is intended to complement in-person attendance by allowing participants to view sessions that they are unable to attend during the meeting. Eligible on-demand content will offer the opportunity to earn up to 94.5 continuing education (CE) credits.

“The Midwinter Meeting is built by and for the dental industry. We at CDS care deeply about this experience and set out to make it a meeting you’ll find easy to navigate and really enjoy attending,” said 2027 CDS President-elect Dr Victoria Ursitti. “More than 50% of our programme features speakers who are new to the Midwinter Meeting, providing attendees with fresh perspectives, more hands-on workshops and educational content you won’t want to miss.”

The 2027 scientific programme will comprise more than 240 courses presented by 149 speakers. It will include 53 workshops featuring simulation and experiential learning, as well as curated learning pathways and expanded wellness programming focusing on health, ergonomics and career longevity. The programme will also include a partnership with The Pankey Institute.

“The Midwinter Meeting Digital Pass helps solve one of the biggest challenges attendees face: choosing between valuable Midwinter Meeting experiences that all compete for the same windows of time on an attendee’s schedule,” said Dr Natalie Harbers, 2027 chair of the CDS Scientific Program Speaker Committee.

The digital pass will allow participants to continue learning after the event by revisiting presentations and accessing sessions missed during the in-person meeting. It can be added to an in-person registration for US$99 (€88*) for CDS or American Dental Association members and US$250 for non-members. Additional discounts are available for students and staff members. CDS members attending the Midwinter Meeting will receive complimentary access to all recordings for 60 days after the event.

The digital pass will also be available as a stand-alone option for those not attending in person, priced at US$290 for CDS or American Dental Association members and US$490 for non-members. Digital access to individual course bundles organised by topic will be available at a reduced rate.

The meeting’s partnership with The Pankey Institute will include a three-day hands-on workshop offering 24 CE hours and complimentary access to Pankey Online. Participants will also have the opportunity to attend two live post-workshop lectures for an additional four CE hours. Further information on this educational offering, as well as on registration, fees, the scientific programme and the digital pass, is available on the CDS Midwinter Meeting website.
