BÜRMOOS, Austria: A campaign designed to help dental professionals around the world get back to work amid the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic has been launched by the dental technology manufacturer W&H. The company aims to support customers and partners through the online campaign by providing imaginative and responsible information that it says will help to re-establish regulated and safe daily routines in dental clinics.

“It is times of crisis that show how important it is to stick together,” W&H stated in a note to the press. The company began its campaign for solidarity and information sharing within the international dental community by asking dentists and partners about their concerns and about what really matters to them in the current health crisis.
In response to the feedback that W&H received, the #dentalsunited campaign has begun providing information that answers questions such as “How do I ensure safety in my dental practice?” and that addresses concerns surrounding the use of aerosols in dental treatment. The question of whether or not air turbine handpieces produce more aerosol than high-speed electric handpieces is addressed in an interview with the company’s product portfolio manager, Tobias Schwarz.
The campaign is also offering free webinars on topics such as aerosols, in addition to service tips on the self-maintenance of dental instruments and information on protective hygiene measures.
More information is available on the #dentalsunited page on the company’s website.
