LANGENAU, Germany: COLTENE has added a new latex-free product to its HySolate dental dam range. HySolate SyntX Dam is made of high-quality polyisoprene and comes pre-printed with a tooth position template. This new product is designed for faster isolation, increased safety and uncomplicated, reliable handling.

The polyisoprene material used—often referred to as “artificial latex”—offers the elasticity, tear resistance and feel of natural latex, but without the risk of latex-related allergies. Its material properties enable secure placement and effective tissue retraction, even in challenging clinical situations.

Advantages for dentists

The high-contrast blue colour of HySolate SyntX Dam ensures excellent visibility in the working area, and the dam’s medium thickness offers an ideal balance of flexibility and stability. The pre-printed template, identical to that of the latex HySolate Dental Dam BLACK EDITION, saves time by eliminating the need to mark tooth positions before punching—a clear advantage for workflow efficiency.

Speed meets safety

“HySolate SyntX Dam expands our HySolate portfolio and offers both safety and efficiency,” commented Loreen Enderle, product manager of treatment auxiliaries at COLTENE. “The material, tear resistance and pre-printed template give users reliable quality and everyday usability, while also simplifying their workflow,” she added.

HySolate SyntX Dam is available in two sizes and several packaging options.

COLTENE’s new dental dam is now available from authorised dental dealers. It comes in 127 × 127 mm and 152 × 152 mm sizes in packs of 30 sheets and in a 152 × 152 mm bulk pack of 75 sheets. Further product information can be found in the COLTENE online catalogue.

The company also offers workshops and online continuing education through its academy. Dental professionals can find case studies and tips for clinical application on the company’s social media channels. More information can be found at www.coltene.com.
