KOBE, Japan: Dürr Dental, which supplies systems solutions to dental practices and laboratories, celebrated its 50th anniversary of operating in the Japanese market with a jovial Oktoberfest at its subsidiary in Kobe. More than 70 guests, including dealers, dentists, dental experts and representatives of chambers of commerce and publishing houses attended the anniversary event.

Commenting on this milestone, CEO Martin Dürrstein, who is the third generation to lead the family business, said that the company felt proud of its achievements in Japan. “We are particularly grateful for the support of our customers and partners in Japan and look forward to continuing to provide them with innovative products and services in one of the world’s largest dental markets in the years to come,” he continued.

The managing director of Dürr Dental Japan, Uwe D. Haul, welcomed the guests to the event, and Dürrstein and Christian Schorndorfer, chief sales and marketing officer of Dürr Dental, then gave the audience an overview of the history and milestones of the company in Japan. They particularly pointed out the subsidiary’s new location and building, which has offered state-of-the-art premises for exhibition, training and service since 2019. In the afternoon, the guests were taken on a tour of the showroom and had the opportunity to talk to Dürr Dental staff about the company’s latest products and services.

The celebrations commenced with dancing and singing to traditional music at the German–Japanese Oktoberfest. Guests also enjoyed the delights of the beer tent, German beer and Japanese sake, as well as foods such as bratwurst and pretzels.

“The 50th anniversary together with our customers and partners will remain a positive memory for a long time. We look forward to successfully continuing our close and good relationship with them in the future,” said Schorndorfer.
