PALMA DE MALLORCA, Spain: CAD/CAM software provider exocad, an Align Technology company, recently held the fifth edition of exocad Insights under the theme “Calling All Heroes”, celebrating the clinicians, technicians and innovators shaping modern dentistry. The event brought the global dental community to the island of Mallorca to explore advancements in digital dentistry, focusing on collaboration between laboratories and clinics, minimally invasive techniques and more efficient workflows.

The programme offered a comprehensive overview of the latest technologies and clinical approaches through keynote lectures, software demonstrations and partner showcases. Beyond the formal sessions, attendees could explore an extensive exhibition featuring leading CAD/CAM providers and take part in networking receptions aimed at fostering international knowledge exchange.

This year, Insights launched a new initiative highlighting a specific country’s contributions to dental technology, reflecting exocad’s commitment to global collaboration and knowledge exchange. For the 2026 event, the spotlight was on China. This international outlook reinforced the event’s role as a hub for cross-border innovation and shared expertise.

One of the standout additions to the programme was the inaugural Women in dentistry lunch, a dedicated session focused on women’s professional development, leadership and visibility within the field. Featuring prominent industry figures in a panel discussion, the event provided a valuable platform for networking and knowledge exchange.

Beyond education, exocad Insights 2026 placed strong emphasis on community and shared experience. Informal activities such as beach tai chi sessions and a fun run encouraged connection in a relaxed setting, while on-site podcast recordings captured voices from across the profession.

The event’s social calendar culminated in the exoGlam night party, a high-energy rooftop celebration blending dinner, music and bold dressing, reflecting the creative spirit of the digital dentistry community. Complementing this were awards and recognition moments celebrating excellence and innovation across the industry, reinforcing the “heroes” theme at the heart of the event.

Overall, exocad Insights 2026 combined cutting-edge education with meaningful networking and memorable experiences, positioning itself as a key global meeting point for the future of digital dentistry.

The exocad community kicked off the second day of the conference with Dr Christian Coachman (Brazil). In the Diamond partner session, he presented “The seven steps towards modern dentistry.”

Once again, a popular stop during the breaks: the exocad expert corner, where exocad software experts answered specific, hands-on questions about exocad’s software solutions.

ART—Advanced Restorative Treatment—was the focus of the Diamond partner session featuring speakers Andrea Piantoni, Massimiliano Rossi of IDI Evolution and Italian dentist Dr Federico Arosio.

New to the program: the “Women in dentistry lunch.” The lunch included a panel discussion with four inspiring women: dental technician and digital nomad Marjorie Andrade, Beth Collington, President of exocad America, practice owner Michaela Sehnert, and moderator Christine McClymont, global head of marketing and communications at exocad. Their message was clear: greater empowerment, visibility, and networking for women in the dental industry.

At the exoGlam night on Friday evening, the global exocad community came together on the rooftop of the Palau de Congressos. In a relaxed atmosphere, they rounded off two inspiring days.

Dental technician Lukas Wichnalek (Mexico/Germany) provided inspiration for collaboration between dentists and labs with his presentation, “One vision, one smile: Creating esthetic benchmarks through global lab–dentist synergy.”

During the breaks, attendees visited the large innovation exhibition hosted by industry partners. Numerous strategic partner companies of exocad showcased their digital innovations as well as their latest machines and materials.
