COLOGNE, Germany: Located in Parainen, a town in southwestern Finland, LM-Dental has been a leading manufacturer of dental instruments for over 50 years. At IDS 2025, the company is excited to showcase a range of new hand instruments, expanding the renowned LM-Dental ergonomic hand instrument portfolio to totally new areas.

Expansion of the respected LM-Arte product line

The globally renowned LM-Arte product range is expanding with its latest addition: the LM-Arte Replica Anterior. This instrument is specifically designed to simplify anterior restorations and complements the LM-Arte Replica Posterior instrument. Developed in collaboration with Dr Osama Shaalan, this new duo of instruments covers both anterior and posterior composite restorations. They excel in adaptation, shaping and replicating the surface anatomy of the tooth, with one instrument dedicated to posterior and the other to anterior restorations.

New and enhanced instruments for indirect adhesive restoration

The LM Prepare and Build-up Kit streamlines indirect adhesive restorations, reducing clinical stress while enhancing predictability and durability. Featuring three specialised instruments—LM Build-up Base, Shaper, and Trimmer—developed with Dr Rui Falacho, the kit helps deliver enhanced outcomes. These instruments support Immediate Dentin Sealing (IDS) and resin coating, preserving tooth structure and creating precise preparation walls. This improves adhesion, bonding and ensures well-seated, long-lasting restorations. Patients enjoy better results, and clinicians benefit from increased efficiency and less stress.

Expanding the product portfolio into periodontal microsurgery

The company is thrilled to expand its portfolio with advanced LM microsurgical instrument selection for periodontal microsurgery procedures. These seven new LM hand instruments, developed in collaboration with Prof Axel Endruhn, enable smaller incisions, minimise trauma, speed up recovery, and deliver superior aesthetic results. Designed to enhance patient outcomes and surgical efficiency, this launch marks a significant step in revolutionising dental surgery. “Minimally invasive surgery is here to stay. Its evolution and improvements allow us to apply it more and more to new situations and fields of periodontal and peri-implant surgery,” said Endruhn.

The LM-Dental Tracking System has also been developed significantly during the past year. The latest advancement in the system is the Inventory Management Module, a specialised solution designed for dental universities to optimise inventory tracking and management.

Another addition to the suite of innovative products, the My LM-Activator silicone aligner and activator is a new  range with optimised dimensions and advanced features. My LM-Activator provides a simple and gentle orthodontic treatment method for young patients in mixed dentition, effectively correcting various types of malocclusions. For 20 years, LM-Activator has been helping children by correcting dental arches and creating aesthetically pleasing smiles. The new product range thus complements LM-Dental’s vision of communicating the benefits of early orthodontic treatment.
