DALLAS, Texas, US: At the upcoming International Dental Show (IDS), OSSVIS will be introducing a range of groundbreaking solutions that redefine digital dentistry, including the world’s first intra-oral scanner equipped with optical coherence tomography (OCT) technology. Visitors to the OSSVIS booth will have the opportunity to experience the latest innovations developed by the company.
The OSSVIS intra-oral scanner sets a new standard by addressing the limitations of conventional digital scanning systems. OCT technology analyses light interference signals to generate high-resolution images of deep oral tissues.
CBCT typically provides resolutions ranging from 80 μm to 400 μm, limiting the ability to observe fine structures in soft tissues while also posing a risk of radiation exposure. In contrast, OSSVIS’s OCT scanner employs harmless high-wavelength light to achieve resolutions below 60 μm. By capturing oral structures in real time with exceptional clarity, it enables early detection of dental caries and periodontal disease, supporting more accurate diagnoses and effective treatment.
Beyond scanning technology, OSSVIS is transforming the landscape of digital dentistry with its comprehensive solutions. The company’s digital portfolio spans the entire treatment journey—from consultation to veneer fabrication—providing continuous support to patients and dental teams. Designed to optimise workflows and meet diverse clinical needs, OSSVIS technology enhances efficiency and empowers clinicians to build trust and confidence with patients while delivering superior oral care.
More information can be found at www.ossvis.com. Visitors to IDS are invited to Booth L060 in Hall 3.1 to test and try the new scanner.
