VIENNA, Austria: Nobel Biocare’s corporate forum at EuroPerio11 is set to be a highlight of the congress. Taking place on Friday, 16 May from 12:30 to 14:00 in Hall A2, the session, titled “Advanced augmentation protocols and product innovation for optimising the bone volume and interdental papilla,” will bring together internationally renowned experts in implant dentistry.

Moderated by Dr Ewa Bednarek, director of clinical affairs at Nobel Biocare, the forum features three distinguished chairs: Dr Istvan Urban from Hungary as well as Drs Luca De Stavola and Giacomo Fabbri, both from Italy. The experts will explore state-of-the-art approaches in soft and hard tissue management, supported by the latest clinical evidence and Nobel Biocare’s innovative product portfolio.

Dr Urban, one of the most recognised authorities on bone regeneration techniques and founder of the Urban Regeneration Institute in Budapest in Hungary, will share his expertise on the “garage” and “sausage” techniques—both widely acclaimed for their effectiveness in restoring deficient alveolar ridges and improving soft tissue health. By discussing these advanced augmentation strategies, Dr Urban will offer practical guidance for achieving predictable, long-term aesthetic results, even in challenging clinical scenarios.

Dr Fabbri, a respected prosthodontist and implantologist, will highlight the critical role of soft tissue sealing in peri-implant health. Drawing on long-term clinical data, he will illustrate how a stable soft tissue seal—established early and maintained over time—can help protect marginal bone levels and promote peri-implant tissue stability. Dr Fabbri will also discuss advanced concepts, including the Xeal abutment surface and the one abutment, one time protocol using the two-piece abutment concept, which reduce tissue disruption and may support improved immunological responses.

In addition, Dr De Stavola will present a collaborative case performed with Dr Fabbri using the Nobel Biocare N1 implant system. Known for his expertise in bone augmentation and advanced implant procedures, Dr De Stavola will demonstrate how careful implant positioning and an optimised emergence profile can positively impact soft tissue outcomes and long-term implant stability. His presentation will also highlight the synergy between the Nobel Biocare N1 system and other solutions from the company, including the TiUltra implant surface and its regenerative product portfolio.

Attendees of the corporate forum will gain insights into the importance of soft tissue seal formation, discover the latest research on biomaterials and implant surfaces, and explore innovative protocols for bone and soft tissue regeneration. Offering a robust blend of clinical evidence, surgical technique and product innovation, the session reflects Nobel Biocare’s commitment to advancing implant dentistry worldwide.

This forum is a must-attend for clinicians looking to refine their skills, broaden their regenerative treatment options and elevate the standard of patient care.
