BASEL, Switzerland/LANGEN, Germany: BioHorizons CAMLOG and Henry Schein Dental Germany have recently supported Children-UA, an organisation running educational camps in Switzerland for underprivileged children aged 12–15 from Ukraine. In the camps, children are taught various intellectual and soft skills and are invited to participate in activities that will help them excel in their future careers. Those interested in a career in dentistry had an opportunity to immerse themselves in the dental profession.

In cooperation with Children-UA, BioHorizons CAMLOG and Henry Schein Dental Germany offered 24 camp participants an immersion into the dental profession. On 31 July, Paul Delgado, Director of International Sales and Education at CAMLOG, led a child-oriented workshop in which he talked about the history of dental implantology and about CAMLOG’s efforts in tackling edentulism. He also introduced the current global trends in digital dentistry and discussed the different existing professions in dentistry and the educational requirements in order to become a specialist in the field.

After having been made aware of the importance of good oral hygiene, the children received a dental kit. The kits were personally packed by Team Schein members and included toothpaste, electric toothbrushes donated by CURADEN, and dental floss.
