CHICAGO, U.S.: The Endo Voices podcast by the American Association of Endodontists (AAE) is a new way to reach those committed to providing the best care possible and offers access to information in a fun, convenient fashion outside more traditional channels. The podcast provides compelling content from thought leaders in the endodontic community and helps to fill a need for endodontics-specific content.

The AAE invites all endodontists and general practitioners interested in the field to listen to its podcasts moderated by host Dr. Marcus D. Johnson who, together with today’s top experts, is striving to advance the art and science of endodontics and promote the highest standards of patient care through engaging and entertaining conversations.

Since July 2019, new episodes have been released regularly on the AAE website and on Spotify, Apple Podcasts and many other major listening services. The topics and guests, which change every month, are selected based on the feedback the association receives from its annual meetings, on input from members and from the evaluation of scientific topics. The AAE also relies on the members who serve on a continuing education committee to help the association to dive deeper into compelling topics and to find speakers who can benefit practitioners and drive engagement.

In an interview with Dental Tribune International, the AAE said that feedback from the episodes had been great so far and that it was experiencing high levels of satisfaction among its membership domestically and internationally. According to the AAE, the existing episodes have been downloaded thousands of times since the launch in July and countless members have reached out to express gratitude and praise. For example, one listener said: “Excellent and very informative … Thank you for sharing a lot of your pearls and thank you for the amazing host who makes the conversation very interesting and intriguing to follow.” Another listener added, “I love listening to your podcasts—looking forward to listening to this one! Really great drive coming from the AAE.”

Johnson commented: “Staying up to date on the hottest topics and trends in endodontics can be challenging. Endo Voices aims to lessen limitations and leverage membership engagement through modern media channels content, such as podcasts, while highlighting current topics within endodontics through organic discussion with experts. AAE’s podcasts provide a setting for scholarly commentary and an authentic feel for the listener because the enthusiasm and passion of the topic resonate in a space where our experts’ knowledge and personalities come to light!”

In addition to Endo Voices, the AAE offers a variety of clinical resources, guidelines, position statements and treatment planning resources that reflect the latest research, techniques and technologies in endodontics. Practitioners can also benefit from in-person networking and exceptional education at the annual meeting, or take advantage of the association’s online learning platform, Endo On Demand, offering more than 600 hours of continuing education.
