AMERICAN FORK, Utah, U.S.: Through its Henry Schein One joint venture, health care solutions company Henry Schein has acquired Lighthouse 360, a provider of dental practice management solutions. The addition of the Lighthouse 360 software tools to the Henry Schein One portfolio will further Henry Schein’s mission to simplify dental practice management through an integrated technology platform, the company said in a press release.

Henry Schein One, a consortium of Henry Schein-owned subsidiaries and partner companies, acquired Lighthouse 360 from internet services company Web.com. Lighthouse 360 was founded in 2006 and posted sales revenues of around $50 million in 2018. The company serves more than 11,000 dental practices by providing a range of web-based tools. These tools automate daily administrative tasks, reduce no-shows and help practices to build stronger relationships with patients. Lighthouse 360 software has received numerous industry awards and is rated highly by users, the press release noted.

Commenting on the acquisition, Chairman of the Board and CEO of Henry Schein Stanley M. Bergman said, “Lighthouse 360 is an innovative provider in the large and highly fragmented market for patient engagement software […] Lighthouse 360’s highly automated software platform will expand our practice marketing and client communication solutions, providing tools to better connect us with our dental customers, and to help dental practitioners better connect to their patients.”

Henry Schein One CEO James A. Harding said the decision to acquire Lighthouse 360 was made because it was a “natural fit” within the Henry Schein One portfolio. “Lighthouse 360 is in many ways a microcosm of Henry Schein One—a passionate group of technology innovators that put practice efficiency and patient experience at the forefront of everything we do,” Harding said.

“Henry Schein One’s dental expertise and deep technology resources make it the ideal partner for Lighthouse 360,” said Sharon Rowlands, CEO and President of Web.com. “We are excited about the future of Lighthouse 360 knowing that it will be aligned with a dynamic organization focused on addressing the unique challenges faced by the dental industry.”

The Lighthouse 360 brand will remain intact after the acquisition, and the company will continue to offer and provide support for all of its current products. No plans were announced to relocate the software provider’s 150 staff, who currently work from its headquarters in Sugar Hill, Georgia, U.S.

Since its founding in 2018, the joint venture Henry Schein One has quickly risen to become the world’s largest dental practice management software company, according to parent company Henry Schein.
