COPENHAGEN, Denmark: For the next two days, the Scandinavian dental community will come together for SCANDEFA 2015 at Bella Center in Copenhagen. More than 150 exhibitors and over 10,000 professional visitors are expected at this year’s show at Scandinavia’s largest exhibition and conference centre.

Visitors will be able to try out the latest in dental technologies, equipment and accessories at the fair, which is one of the largest trade shows in the region. In addition, local and international manufacturers will be showcasing a wide range of innovations, many of which follow the industry trend of streamlining the treatment process for both patients and practitioners.

For the first time in the history of SCANDEFA, visitors will be able to view live surgeries. In addition to root resections, retrograde fillings, implant insertions and removal of third mandibular molars will be performed daily by Dr Jens Lætgaard and his team at Booth C3-012. For dates and times, visitors are advised to check the schedule online at www.scandefa.dk.

Traditionally, SCANDEFA prizes are awarded to companies that introduced innovations to the market in the previous year. The nominees for 2015 are local practice consulting company Krebs Ergonomi, which is committed to improving ergonomics for dental professionals, as well as Swedish distributor DentMan and Danish start-up Cope it. The last will be awarded for its innovative application and computer-based solution for patients with dental anxiety.

Parallel to the trade exhibition, the Danish Dental Association is holding its annual scientific meeting at Bella Center. The scientific programme, which ranges from new material solutions to the latest developments in CAD/CAM technologies, will again be presented by a number of well-known Danish and international clinicians.

SCANDEFA 2015 is being held on 16 and 17 April. Visitors can still register for the show on-site.
